The Varadero Golf Club<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Designed by architect Les Furber, President of the Canadian Golf Design Services Ltd (GDS), in the style of Robert Trent (Jr.), the course was originally built in 1931 but was soon destroyed by a hurricane in 1933. It was later rebuilt by designer Sim Cuthrie, yet featured only 9 holes, as the course needed to be refilled with more natural soil. Then, between April – December 1934 the course received over $10,000 worth of soil and was fully operational with the completed 18-holes by 1936.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve made it to the 18th hole, you can head back to the sophisticated Club House, also known as Xanad\u00fa Mansion. Declared one of the Seven Wonders of Architectural Works in Matanzas in 2002 and National Monument of First Conservation Degree in 2013, this building is a sight to behold.
