A continuous symbol of grit and determination, it is impossible to visit Cuba without seeing his image peppered across the landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over time, his heroism has become iconic around Cuba (and worldwide), his likeness used on everything from coffee cups and t-shirts to statues and murals. Yet despite his revolutionary career spanning little more than a decade, his achievements since meeting Fidel Castro in 1955 up until his death in 1967, has meant that his fame has lived on through generations, remaining an icon of freedom stapled into Cuba\u2019s rich history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 1955 upon meeting exiled Cuban rebel leader Fidel Castro (future president of Cuba), Guevara joined his rebel army as a medic. Due to tactical prowess and courage, Guevara would quickly rise through the ranks, becoming the future commander of the Guerilla forces that would take Havana in 1959.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After victory, El Ch\u00e9 took residence in the Casa del Ch\u00e9 as the military department&#8217;s commander at La Caba\u00f1a. It was in this very home where El Ch\u00e9 slept and worked, meeting important dignitaries to discuss essential aspects of the Revolution. The office in which these conversations that changed the path of history took place has been preserved; it remains, almost untouched, at the house and is open to visitors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Visiting La Casa Del Ch\u00e9<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After his death, the La Casa Del Ch\u00e9 was declared an honorary museum for the Argentine freedom fighter &#8211; and if you\u2019re a history buff, it\u2019s a must for your Cuba itinerary. Upon visiting the symbolic home, which is located in front of the Cristo de la Habana Statue, you can observe his working office &#8211; paramount for planning and commanding attacks in the fight for Cuba independence &#8211; as well as many artifacts from his time as guerilla warrior.
