\r\n\r\nEach February, the olde worlde 18th<\/sup> century Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Caba\u00f1a (Fort of Saint Charles) overlooking the harbour, transforms into one of the biggest book fairs in the world. The capital plays host to this wonderful event \u2013 which focuses on a new genre, issue, or author each year – for 10 days before it relocates to other Cuban cities for a further two weeks, ending in Santiago de Cuba. This year will mark the 31st<\/sup> International Book Fair of Havana<\/a>, taking place from the 3rd<\/sup> – 13th <\/sup>February.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThis corner of Havana<\/a> is a haven for fans of all ages and interests, featuring everything from poetry readings and art exhibitions to children\u2019s activities and live concerts \u2013 providing hours of entertainment that stretches far beyond your favourite novels. Besides bibliophiles, attendees will rub shoulders with publishers, international authors, political officials, and even celebrities present at the popular fair, which has rightfully made its name as Cuba\u2019s premier cultural event.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nWhile the main stage of the Havana International Book Fair (so to speak) resides at San Carlos de la Caba\u00f1a, fair-goers can flit between a handful of additional venues also set to play host at the upcoming 2022 event, including Pabell\u00f3n Cuba, Casa Del Alba Cultural, and Dulce Maria Loynaz Cultural Centre \u2013 where you can catch a variety of literary and artistic events.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nListen to fascinating author lectures as they discuss their latest work, browse hundreds of thousands of books (literally), visit the cinema, or simply let yourself be drawn to the live music and drool-worthy food stalls, when you visit the Havana International Book Fair!<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe 31st annual Havana International Book Fair is set to take place on February 4th – 11th 2022.<\/p>\r\n
