FAQs

What months are best for Costa Rica holidays?

The most popular time to visit Costa Rica is typically during the dry season, from December to April. In this period you can expect sunny, dry weather, perfect for beach holidays or for engaging in activities such as surfing, and also spotting wildlife. If you are looking to get away during a more quiet time, with fewer tourists, then the wet season from May to November might be more suitable. At this time humidity levels are typically up, with afternoon showers potentially ruling certain activities out. On the plus side, however, landscapes are lush and green and holiday prices are often lower!

Yes, you can, as there are direct flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO) with British Airways. These flights typically run 2-3 times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, taking just short of 11 hours
